Job Description
Arvato Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a hands on Director of Logistics Engineering to develop design and implement B2B and B2C ecommerce material handling solutions for our multilocation US fulfillment centers. In this dynamic role you will lead a team of industrial and project engineers that focus on optimizing process efficiency logistical capital investments direct labor cost and new fulfillment center expansion.You will also work closely with the Business Development team on crafting compelling new client solutions and presentations as well as the continuous review and improvement of existing cost and client satisfaction processes. In addition as the Director of Logistics Engineering you will be responsible for managing operations capital investment portfolio demonstrate annualized cost optimization and manage complex multifunction/ multi fulfillment center projects.
This role can be based in Louisville Kentucky or Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin. In order to best support all of our fulfillment centers this role will require up to 50 travel and hands on guidance in all Arvato fulfillment centers in North America.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience in the following areas:
- Managing geographically dispersed operations engineering teams
- Developing solutions for B2B and B2C ecommerce multinode fulfillment centers
- Developing and driving capex ROI solutions
- New greenfield startups
- Developing complex RFQs for material handling equipment
- Extensive MultiClient 3PL activity based and revenue share costing models
- Extensive knowledge in Warehouse Management Systems and Warehouse Control Systems
- BS Degree in Industrial Engineering is required MS in Industrial Engineering is a plus
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills strong interpersonal skills
- Established track record of having delivered results in a dynamic fastpaced changing environment
- Proven bias for action proactive and solutions orientation
- Able to interact with all levels of employees management external clients and vendors
- Organizational and planning skills including ability to: prioritize work handle multiple tasks simultaneously set goals and enforce deadlines while maintaining flexibility to reassess and prioritize goals
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
- Experienced selfstarter who works in a solutionoriented way and thinks continuously in improvement processes
- Ability to travel up to 50 of the time across the US as needed
