Project Manager DesignBuild Projects

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and successful Project Manager to work with theDesign Build teamon a major infrastructure project. This is a longterm fulltime onsite position located in Newark NJ.

Responsibilities

• Management review and oversight of the design for the structure civil and roadway designs to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents.
• Provide support and oversight of construction and associated work.
• Work directly with the Program Integration Team to ensure the design and construction is in accordance with the interface requirements provided by System Technology.
• Work with the Assistant Project Managers Project Managers authorities and other Project Subject Matter Expert (SME) staff to review coordinate and oversee the design work.
• Develop an understanding of the contractual (technical/commercial) requirements of the DesignBuild contract and review various submittals in accordance with the contract requirements.
• Distribute and review various designs and consolidate review comments from the Project Team and others to ensure consistency and compliance with the DesignBuild contract.
• Support the Construction Management Division (CMD) in supporting the construction phase ensuring interfaces and contract requirements are understood and implemented.
• Support the Project Controls group with the administration of the contract the development of changes (if applicable) and response to contractor claims/disputes.
• Support the Project Team in testing and commissioning of the structure and other fixed facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering construction management or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Professional Engineering License (state of NJ is preferred).
• 10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with the design and construction of rail or roadway bridge structures.
• Experience in DesignBuild contracts in design construction or implementation.
• Proven experience coordinating a project management team and providing appropriate levels of support coaching and influence.
• Experience with industry standard project and construction management software (e.g. Primavera P6 TILOS MS Project Bluebeam RSMeans etc.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365/Suite (e.g. Outlook Teams Word Excel PowerPoint etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• 15 years of experience with the design and construction of rail or roadway bridge structures.
• Experience overseeing designbuild contracts for the Owner.
• Automated People Mover experience.
• NJDOT/AASHTO bridge structures experience.

Compensation Details

The salary range listed for this role is $166k$208k annually $80100/hr. The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidates level of experience breadth of skills total education achieved certifications/licenses that have been obtained etc.
