About the role
This is an opportunity to be part of our experienced family support team providing the Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Information Advice and Support service to parents/carers and young people in Barnet. This is a part time role as a jobshare working 2 full days per week.
About you
- The skills to effectively support young people with SEND to express their views
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with families and professionals
- Agood understanding of the Special Educational Needs system
- Experience in working in either a school educational or advicegiving setting mentoring or advocacy position
- Acommitment to promoting equal rights and safeguarding of children young people and vulnerable adults
- Ability to manage a complex workload and meet tight timescales Competent and confident in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Word Excel PowerPoint and TEAMS
- Educated to degree level or equivalent (preferably in a relevant discipline)
- Ability to deliver information sessions to different stakeholders.
