Job Description

Job Summary:
The Bistro Cook at Courtyard by Marriott Houston Northeast Generation Park TX is responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals for our guests in a timely and efficient manner. This is a Full Time hourly Hospitality / Restaurant job in Houston Texas and is an individual contributor role. The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong knowledge of bistrostyle cuisine.

Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $13 per hour paid biweekly. In addition the Bistro Cook will have access to a range of benefits including discounted room rates at Marriott hotels career advancement opportunities and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes including breakfast items soups salads sandwiches and entrees according to recipes and quality standards.
Ensure all food is prepared and plated in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining high levels of cleanliness and food safety.
Assist in menu planning ordering supplies and maintaining inventory levels to meet demand.
Uphold the companys brand standards by consistently providing highquality food and exceptional customer service.
Keep work stations and kitchen area clean sanitized and organized at all times.
Comply with all health and safety regulations including proper food handling and storage procedures.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff and team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.


Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 12 years of experience as a cook in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Knowledge of bistrostyle cuisine and an understanding of different cooking techniques.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs.
Flexibility to work mornings evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
