ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee the hiring process; full cycle recruitment and retention. Collaborate and partner with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conduct or coordinate preemployment checks; drug screening background checks aptitude tests and other required eligibility verifications.
- Responsible for onboarding new hire orientation and training.
- Assist in implementing managing and maintaining the HRIS and ATS systems.
- Respond to unemployment claims and research/prepare for DOL hearings.
- Review and approve all lowerlevel Corrective Action Plans before they are administered to employees.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings terminations and investigations.
- Process termination/resignations including exit interviews and offboarding steps.
- Benefits/insurance administration including short and longterm disability and FMLA.
- Assist with the employee bonus and annual performance review tracking.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state statutes regarding HR functions.
- Respond to and resolve difficult and sensitive inquiries and complaints.
- Work closely with the HR Director on implementing employee recognition programs and employee engagement activities.
- Responsible for updating the HR related tabs on the employee intranet.
- Reviews tracks and documents compliance with mandatory and nonmandatory training continuing education and work assessments. This may include safety training antiharassment training professional licensure and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Manage and track employee transfers and promotions ensuring compliance with SOC1 URAC and other auditing entities.
- Maintains compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- College Degree or equivalent experience 4 years).
- 3 years of progressive human resources generalist experience.
- HR certification or pursuit of certification preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and ATS.
- Organized attention to detail multitask and the ability to prioritize workload.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.
- Professional demeanor and good rapport with employees at all job levels
