The Project Engineer of PostTensioning and Repair and Strengthening is responsible for projects in the area of buildings and bridges that are supplied by DYWIDAG and will work on the preparation of engineering submittals as well as technical support to field operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare engineering calculations and installation drawings for posttensioning and reinforcing applications including repair and strengthening of infrastructures such as buildings bridges tanks etc. Knowledge of carbon fiber reinforced polymer system is preferred.
- Oversee and direct detailers in the preparation of shop drawings for assigned projects.
- Participate in product development testing and certification projects.
- Provide technical support to project managers and field operation teams.
- Communicate with contractors and design engineering firms as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering concentration required.
- Masters degree preferred with minimum 35 years of Engineering within the Construction Industry.
- Knowledge of civil and structural engineering principals.
- Knowledge of codes such as ACI PTI PCI AASHTO AISC etc. required.
- Experience in posttensioning and use of structural analysis and CAD software.
- Must be selfmotivated disciplined and professional. Analytical and skilled in troubleshooting identification of customer needs and challenges market knowledge.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD or similar software.
- PE license in any state. If does not have should get in a year.

- Occasional travel throughout North America is required for visiting job sites and attending conferences.

- The work environment includes business office traveling to conferences with some construction site visits.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel reach with hands and arms: and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to sit stand; walk; and stoop kneel or crouch.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to forty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
