What you can look forward to as a Mechanic in Commercial Vehicle:

• Performs all duties of Tech I & II as described on job descriptions
• Inspects and reports failure analysis of product and parts
• Reassembly of gearboxes including implementing product updates
• Tests product to ensure functionality
• Diagnosing/Troubleshooting gearboxes
• Works independently and may travel locally to customer locations.
• Work on D.O.T.. safety sensitive product
• Performs related tasks as assigned.

Your Profile as a Mechanic in Commercial Vehicle:

• High School diploma or GED required
• Technical or vocational school or 3 years mechanical product experience
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Valid Drivers License
• Knowledge of hand or pneumatic tools; forklift and/or pallet jack experience.
• Previous lean manufacturing experience preferred.
• Previous experience with SAP and/or Microsoft Office products (Excel Word Outlook) preferred.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job the associate is required to stand for extended periods of time; 60 minutes continuously up to 6 hours per 10 hour day walk up to 2 miles per day handle or feel objects and/or tools; operate power tools; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; bend verbally communicate; and hear safety indicators. The associate must frequently an repetitively lift and /or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to focus.

The expected base compensation for this role is $24.00 $26.00 hourly. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
