Job Description
The School of STEM Department of Natural Science of Vermont State University invites applications for a PartTime Faculty for the Spring semester (January 21 May 16 2025.
The Course to be taught is PHY 2010 Electricity and Electronics
This course introduces basic concepts of electricity and magnetism fundamentals of DC and AC circuit theory semiconductor devices electronic circuits and digital electronics with a topical focus on audio applications and signal processing. Lab work involves the use of basic electric and electronic equipment assembling and testing of circuits and kits using breadboards and learning to solder. Although open to any student the students who enroll in this class are predominantly from our Music Business and Industry programs.
3 hours of lecture and 1 hour of lab per week
The Course will be taught 2 evenings per week on the VTSU Lyndon Campus in Lyndonville Vermont
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a bachelors degree or better in physics or engineering a closely related field or equivalent experience including knowledge of electrical components and circuitry. Special consideration will be given to applicants with audio engineering recording or production experience.
Teaching experience at the college level is preferable.

Salary:
Based on credits previously taught per VSCVSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
