The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the nontenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. The ideal candidate should be American Board of Radiology certified or eligible with subspecialty training in MSK Radiology.
Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during readouts and conferences and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties. The education of medical students will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Penn Presbyterian Medical Center Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Pennsylvania Hospital.
Clinical responsibilities may include include providing clinical service in the usual clinical skill sets (PF CT MRI arthrograms/joint aspirations). In addition candidates are expected to be competent in diagnostic MSK US and imageguided tumor biopsies. The successful candidate will also participate in the Musculoskeletal Imaging offhours oncall program including evenings nights and weekend coverage.
Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center (PAVMC) as well as affiliated outpatient imaging centers located in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
