We are seeking a Lead Cook to join our culinary team at RiverMead on a per diem basis with weekend shift differentials included. Our commitment is to provide a safe and friendly work environment where employees feel valued and have numerous opportunities for growth.
As a Lead Cook you will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of food quality and safety. Your responsibilities will include preparing cold entrees appetizers salads and desserts according to preparation sheets and recipes for our dining venues healthcare centers and special functions. You will also create accompaniments and garnishes focusing on eye appeal and presentation.
**Responsibilities:**
Prepare food using proper handling techniques that comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
Complete required food temperature checks.
Taste all prepared food items.
Maintain accurate preparation records and properly store food items at the end of the meal service.
Clean the work area and equipment.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
A minimum of six months of serving and/or food service experience is required; previous cooking experience is preferred.
Must be selfdirected and dependable.
Must be a team player with a positive cando attitude.
