Join our compassionate and flexible team at Midnight Cloud Chaser a familyowned business providing 24/7 care for a single client in her family home. Our clients unique needs underpin our entire business. We even invited her to name it! Our current multidisciplinary team of 16 works around the clock and were on the hunt for caring professionals to expand our team. We believe that if staff are treated well they will provide the best care for our client. We have a very low turnover rate with some staff working with us for over 15 years and many staying in contact even after moving on to other opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide highquality clinical care including advanced airway management such as suctioning and chest physio emergency seizure management PEG feeds and stoma care.
- Assist the client with daily activities such as medication administration showering bedtime routine and overnight support meals light cleaning laundry and personal care.
- Perform manual handling with appropriate equipment provided.
- Respect the clients complex communication needs and supported decision making. Training will be provided.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on a 24/7 roster.
- Mentor less experienced team members.
- Must love dogs as our client has a furry companion!
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical setting
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification preferred but not required
- Highly desired: advanced airway management skills.
- Highly desired: experience with PEG feeding emergency seizure management stoma care and pressure care.
- Experience in complex communication needs and supported decision making (favourable).
- Compassionate and funloving nature.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Integrity honesty initiative proactivity and attention to detail.
- Uptodate vaccinations first aid and CPR certificates.
- Clear police check and NDIS worker screening check (or willingness to obtain).
- Nonsmoker.
- Highly desirable: ICU respiratory and/or A&E/critical care experience.
Current roster requirements:
We currently require a registered nurse to work a 12hour shift on Sunday and Monday night 9pm 9am) each fortnight i.e. Sunday night and Monday night one week and then the following week off.
An ability to cover day and/or night shifts for other team members absences would be considered favourably.
