Job Description
An Outstanding Girls school in Harrow is seeking an engaging and dedicated Psychology Teacher for a permanent fulltime position starting in September. The successful Psychology Teacher will inspire female students in Key Stages 4 and 5 to explore the fascinating world of the human mind and behaviour.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Psychology Teacher lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Prepare students thoroughly for ALevel Psychology examinations.
- Develop students understanding of key psychological theories research methods and ethical considerations.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback as a Psychology Teacher.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the psychology curriculum and resources.
- Encourage critical thinking and an appreciation for the complexity of human behaviour.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Psychology.
- Proven experience teaching Psychology at secondary level ideally including ALevel.
- Strong and comprehensive knowledge of psychological theories and research.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills tailored for engaging girls.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students in the study of Psychology.
- A commitment to collaborative teamwork and a supportive school environment.
