The Technology ImplementationResearch Center (TIRC) is looking to hire a postdoctoral research fellow forcomputational modeling of human joint biomechanics. The TIRC offers theopportunity to be at the forefront of translational research and to work witha close knit team of highly experienced scientists engineers and clinicians. Thegoal of the project is to develop patientspecific computational models tostudy biomechanics of native human joints such as the knee/shoulder/anklebefore and after joint replacement surgery. These models will serve as avaluable platform to better guide surgical decisions and implant design.
PRINCIPALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The postdoctoral fellow willbe responsible for conducting musculoskeletal simulations (inverse/forwarddynamics) finite element analysis writing IRB protocols designing andexecuting in vivo and in vitro (cadaver) studies and preparing projectreports/scientific manuscripts. The postdoctoral fellow may also assist inpreparations of grants and training of other research staff.
