Job Description:
- Operate sheeting equipment
- Check for paper damages and ensure the correct roll size grade and caliper are used before preparing rolls to be loaded onto the machine
- Ensures that the roll of paper is properly unwrapped mounted and ready to be spliced
- Monitors the flow of paper throughout the run. Prepares and installs new roll when necessary
- Operate clamp truck pallet jack and or forklift to move paper rolls and finished cut paper skids to the shipping area.
- Strap waste skids.
- Operate pallet jacks and forklift in the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner.
- Check roll truck/forklift at the beginning of each shift to ensure its safe to use.
- Ensure all occupational health and safety guidelines are being followed.
- Report any unsafe equipment to your supervisor.
- Ensure all required personal protective equipment is worn at the required time and in the required area.
- Keep work area clean at all times.
- Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste lock out tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies
- Participates in special projects as assigned
- It is the responsibility of all RRD employees to follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual
- Other duties as requested
Qualifications :
- Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing bindery requirements which indicate the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and to maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions provided; independently makes decisions on the type of equipment to be used
- Must be able to calculate distances clearances and fits in sheeter machines
- Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain the functional accuracy and operating conditions of the sheeting machines
- Knowledge of the quality and machining requirements of various coated and uncoated types of paper stock
- Skill in setting up and adjusting machines for finishing operations and to refine such adjustments for the weight color machinability and quality of paper stock being used and to prevent machining impressions on the printed materials
Additional Information :
The pay range for this role at the noted location is $20.20 to $27.80 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon but not limited to: education skills experience proficiency performance shift and location. In addition to base salary depending on the role the total compensation package may also include a signon bonus of $XXXX overtime shift differential callin and standby pay.
