Position Details:
Child Mind Institute is looking for someone to join our team as an Intake Coordinator in the New York office. The Intake Coordinator works with the clinical and administrative teams to support families interested in clinical services at Child Mind Institute. The Intake Coordinator serves as a liaison between clinicians and new patients and families.
Reporting to the Patient Experience Manager this a fulltime nonexempt hybrid (minimum of 4 days in office per week) position located in our Midtown New York Headquarters.
You Will:
- Complete initial intake screenings coordinate patient evaluations and schedule appointments within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Communicate with new patients by phone and email providing information about the Child Mind Institute intake process and answers to frequently asked questions
- Oversee patient experience from the time patients contact Child Mind Institute to the time they schedule their first appointment
- Review new intakes with the clinical team or use knowledge of the clinical practice for appropriate case assignments
- Provide appropriate followup to communicate clinicians recommendations for scheduling at Child Mind Institute or externally
- Manage high priorities and multitask in a fastpaced work environment
- Resolve urgent sensitive and confidential issues with discretion and integrity and strictly protect personal health information
- Help train new support staff and provide team coverage
You Have:
- Bachelors degree in Psychology or related field

Pay Range
The salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as candidates work experience education/training jobrelated skills internal peer equity as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In addition this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role) if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
