Job Description

Massachusetts CNA license is required.Completion of HS Diploma or equivalent. Strong communication skills ability tolift/transport patients are required. Acute care PCA experience is stronglypreferred.

The Lunder 6 Neuroscience ICU is a twentytwobed unit dedicated to the treatment of neuroscience patients who require intensive medical and nursing management. The patients cared for in this unit include acute embolic stroke cerebral hemorrhage seizure head injury spinal cord injury postsurgical and postinterventional.

Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN) the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assiststhe multidisciplinary health care team in clinical support functions topromote a safe compassionate patient care environment. PCA assistsmultidisciplinary health care team by assisting patients with daily livingneeds monitoring & reading vital signs drawing blood obtainingEKGs. Must be able to work rotating shifts (day/evening/night).
