Role Overview:
Looking for a rewarding internship Veranova currently has a number of positions open for our 2025 Internship Program. Veranovas Internship Program will allow you to partake in meaningful roles that will prepare you for your future.
Veranova is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients focused on specialist niches with expertise in highly regulated and complex chemistries. Operating within two divisions Generics and Originators we deliver a differentiated service offering to pharma and biotech customers for every stage in the drug development lifecycle.
The Analytical Development Summer Intern is responsible for the implementation of laboratory improvements which may include reorganization of supplies to support a 5S or other organizational system and general laboratory improvements. Areas of improvement may include reference standards metrology and/or general lab support. Job duties may change rapidly to support the daily operation of the laboratories and the summer intern must be able to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
Work may be required in areas where potent and hazardous chemicals are in use. However appropriate training will be provided to ensure safety.

Our program consists of a 1012week internship at our West Deptford NJ location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow established laboratory safety procedures and adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Design and execute lab improvement initiatives under the guidance of senior scientists.
- Assist in the of laboratory experiments including analytical method development and validation.
- Develop and implement a 5S system for analytical laboratories from planning to .
- Assist in the maintenance and inventory management of reagents chemicals and consumables used in the lab .
- Oversee the inspection and maintenance of analytical instruments under supervision.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Quality Control (QC) Chemical Development and Quality Assurance (QA) to support analytical activities.
- Assist in the procurement of materials as required.
- Maintain high standards of written documentation and ensure accuracy.
- Provide general support to chemists and scientists as needed.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with team members and stakeholders.
- Volunteer to assist with tasks beyond the scope of specific projects demonstrating flexibility.
- Show initiative and responsibility in completing assigned duties.
- Actively participate in selfdevelopment and professional growth activities.
- Perform any additional duties within the scope of your skills and abilities as required.
Qualifications:
- Working towards a BS in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Material Science or related field
- Minimum Overall GPA of 2.7 required
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a true career aspiration to be a leader
- Must be adaptable strive for excellence and demonstrate a positive attitude in the face of adversity
- Strong interpersonal skills a must coupled with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills essential
- Experience with 5S or other standardized workplace organization methods valued
- Experience working in a laboratory setting valued
- Knowledge of cGMP valued
