WiFi Architect (Telecom Domain)
Location:Philadelphia PA(Onsite)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experiencedWiFi Architectwith deep expertise intelecom/Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)to design and optimize nextgeneration WiFi architectures. In this role you will lead the development of highperformance WiFi solutions for enterprisescale deployments ensuring superior connectivity and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implementWiFi architecturesfor CPE products optimizingradio/antenna parameters802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be).
Developmetrics and KPIsto measure and enhance WiFi performance (throughput latency coverage).
Buildlab setupsto simulate realworld conditions and validate performance under load.
Researchtraffic modelsand industry trends to inform futureproof designs.
Collaborate withProduct/Dev teamsto define technical requirements and test strategies.
Troubleshoot and resolvefield/lab defects driving issues to root cause.
Ensure compliance withIEEE WFA WBA and IETFstandards.
Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
8 yearsinWiFi/WLAN protocolsandCPE product development.
Mastery of:
Security protocols: WPA2 WPA3 802.1X.
Mesh/steering: 802.11k/v/r.
Test automation frameworks(Python Robot Framework).
Handson experience with:
RF optimization tools(Ekahau Hamina).
Packet analysis(Wireshark TCPdump).
Familiarity withDevOps practicesfor CI/CD pipelines.
Soft Skills:
Strong collaboration withcrossfunctional teams(HW/SW/QA).
Ability tolead projectsand mentor junior engineers.
Excellentwritten/verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience withWiFi 7 802.11be)features (MLO MultiRU).
Knowledge of5G/WiFi convergence.
Contributions toopensource networking projects.
Education
Bachelors/Masters inElectrical Engineering Computer Science or Telecommunications.
