BASIC FUNCTION
To support the academic function of the University by coordinating implementing and helping oversee functions of the Registrars Office. Assist the University Registrar with aspects of planning and office management. Responsibilities include researching and supplying needed information to students staff faculty and the administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work as part of Registrar team performing functional duties including course scheduling academic record maintenance preparing for and participating in all phases of registration for returning and new students and preparing for and processing students for graduation.
- Provide front line assistance to students with registration academic records and policy concerns. Help provide students and others with access to academic records as provided by polices.
- Interpret and implement standard academic policies communication policies and procedures for exceptions to various constituencies.
- Generate reports and gather data as requested by the Provost Deans of Schools Department Chairs and faculty committees.
- Provide academic data and reports to other departments and functional areas including but not limited to Academic Affairs Academic Support Accounts Receivable Admissions Alumni Relations Athletics Financial Aid International Student Support Services Student Life Study Abroad etc.
- Assist with institutional research requests from internal and external constituencies.
- As part of the Registrar team develop evaluate and modify internal operating policies and procedures. Assist with systems and database corrections and updates as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities and assist in training other staff as needed.
- Maintain basic familiarity with the University curriculum.
- Confer frequently with supervisor and other University personnel to plan and coordinate activities/systems exchange information investigate and resolve problems.
- Serve on college and systemwide committees as requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISON RECEIVED
Direct supervision is received from the University Registrar.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Direct supervision of student workers/assistants.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelors degree in appropriate discipline plus three or more years of relevant records administration or student information systems experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous Registrars Office experience desirable.

- Familiarity with higher education organizational structures and academic policies.
Skills:
- Good organizational administrative and supervisory skills.
- Strong skills in administering complex record systems including extensive relevant experience with computerized information systems.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of individuals within and outside of the college.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing work processes.
- Demonstrated ability to support a diverse community and promote diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
