Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager the Inpatient Clerk contributes to organizational day to day support on aninpatient unit by acting as the main communication link supporting the admission/discharge functiontaking appropriate action within scope of role when actioning patient care orderables maintainingpatient health records and completing clerical tasks.

Requirements
- Successful completion of a Health Care Office Assistant Certificate
- Previous experience with admission and discharge functions preferred
- Computer skills including word processing spreadsheets presentation (Power Point) email CernerElectronic Patient Record Workload Measurement Demonstrated
- Demonstrated proficient communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Effective organizational skills involving time management prioritization and the ability to problem solve while ensuring attention to detail
- Demonstrated flexibility adaptability and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to work well and independently with minimum supervision in a teamenvironment
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety in the organization
