CHARTER FLIGHTS DIRECTOR
Private aviation helicopter company is looking for a Charter Flights Director. This exciting position includesresponsibility for managing and coordinating all aspects of a legacy Part 135 helicopter Charter Division.
This role will report directly to the Companys CEO and work closely with the Marketing andBusiness Development department. This position requires a high level of experience in charter sales high
end clientele and hospitality growth strategies customer service and operational efficiency and working withmultiple departments to ensure the seamless of charter flights while adhering to FAA regulationsand company policies.
This is a new senior role in the Company and the candidate will be responsible fordeveloping and executing a business plan for the Division which includes a focus on significantly growingcharter sales fleet optimization increased profitability and margins and geographic destination expansion.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Charter Coordination:
Manage and coordinate helicopter charter seat sales including quoting booking and scheduling.
Managing the Companys current book of business while marketing to new clients and verticals in order tobuild a yearround business with advanced bookings and loyal longterm customers.
Liaise with highnetworth individuals and corporations with the ability to understand their requirementsneeds and tailor bespoke itineraries to provide exceptional air travel experiences.
Working closely with the companys team of pilots and other divisions to ensure a seamless firstclass servicefor a demanding and particular client base.
Customer Service:
Ensure that the company is seen as a Service First organization with extreme attention to detail for eachcustomer experience.
Provide exemplary service to highend clientele and corporations addressing inquiries and resolving issuespromptly and professionally.
Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and build longterm relationships.
Contribute to the expansion and ongoing maintenance of the Divisions customer relationship managementdatabase (CRM).
Ensure that flight amenities are available and provided to clients.
Close monitoring of improvements and enhancements for the Companys services.
Provide fullservice planning and contingency back up with multiple forms of transportation when issues with acharter occurs.
Marketing and Sales Growth:
Manage proactive client engagements through various marketing including: email campaigns social mediaspecial events personalized meetings etc. to drive better of services.
Develop sales growth strategies to drive new client growth and expand existing client usage.
Work closely with the Marketing and Business Development division to expand destination partnerships witha proactive view of innovation keeping ahead of the market and promoting charter services across omni mediachannels.
Organize and lead client meetings assist marketing in industry and hospitality trade associations and buildnew business relationships/JVs.
Provide input on Company wide marketing strategies and materials to enhance the visibility and appeal ofcharter services.
Provide support for business expansion efforts including additional partnership organizations and innovativedestination partners.
Ability to provide annual and monthly sales projections through the busy and prebooking seasons i.e. creating a booking schedule six months in advance of the companys busy summer season.
Operational Support:
Coordinate with pilots ground crew and maintenance teams to ensure all flights are conducted safely and adhere to strict time schedules.
Monitor and manage flight schedules and weather conditions to optimize flight operations with otherdepartments.
Flight Following Capabilities
Build relationships with other helicopter and private jet operators in order to provide endtoend customizedmtransportation solutions and have reserve flex charter capacity when needed.
Ensure all necessary documentation including flight manifests and regulatory paperwork is accuratelycompleted and assessable and filed with the operations department.
Safety and Compliance:
Maintain uptodate knowledge of FAA regulations and ensure all operations adhere to Part 135 standards.
Assist with regular audits and coordinate with any helicopter downtimes which include regular FAA sectionedinspections and compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures.
Coordinate with the Companys safety manager to address any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
Administrative Duties:
Provide weekly and monthly management reporting to track sales utilization monthovermonth growth salesand profitability metrics/KPIs client preferences customer service monitoring and feedback
Maintain detailed records of all charter activities including client information client preferences flightdetails and transactions.
Prepare and analyze reports on charter operations identifying areas for improvement and implementing newsolutions and related services.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in aviation management business administration marketing or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in charter sales coordination or a similar role preferably within a Part 135helicopter operation.
Experience with selling to and serving high end clients and corporations.
Experience with marketing and brand awareness campaigns
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple taskssimultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and Part 135 operational requirements preferred.
Proficiency MS Suite; aviation software a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with luxury helicopter charter sales or hospitality serving highend clientele.
Certification or training in aviation safety and compliance.
