Mount Sinai South Nassau is currently seeking a fulltime general Endocrinology Physician to add to our growing Division of Endocrinology.

The chosen candidate will become part of a fulltime faculty inpatient and outpatient general Endocrinology practice with opportunities to subspecialize in specific endocrine illnesses and be part of a multispecialty team in a hospital setting located in Nassau County on Long Island. The candidate must have an interest in providing officebased and inpatient consultations on the Eendocrinology service and to participate in teaching in the Internal Medicine Residency Program. He or she will work closely with a variety of specialists in Medicine and other Departments and with our excellent Diabetes Education Center allowing patients to address many of their healthcare needs in one location. The selected candidate will also be a part of the Thyroid / Parathyroid Center working closely with senior Head/Neck Surgeons. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

The hospital has been awarded the Joint Commissions gold seal of approval for diseasespecific care for heart failure primary stroke hip replacement knee replacement wound care bariatric surgery and endstage renal disease and recently was reaccredited as one of first programs in the US by the Infectious Diseases Society of America as a Center of Excellence for Antimicrobial Stewardship.

Designated a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for outstanding nursing care South Nassau also offers Novalis Tx and Gamma Knife radiosurgery technologies and operates the only Trauma Center on the South Shore of Nassau County verified by the American College of Surgeons.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative duties in coordination with the Metabolic Disorders Service Line Administrator

Qualifications
  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University
  • New York Medical License
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology
  • Committed to Mount Sinai South Nassau and the communities we serve
  • Excellent communication bedside manner and organizational skills
  • A system work ethic and desire to participate in a teamoriented performance driven health system
  • Experience with the various glucose monitoring systems and insulin delivery devices such as: continuous glucose monitoring insulin pump therapy and insulin pens

Compensation range from 220K to 250K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience specialties historical productivity historical collections and hospital/community need. The salary range listed is for fulltime employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
