Our ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of five 5 years successful experience in education including teaching supervision and/or administration;
- A valid New York State Certificate as a School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL);
- Experience in developing and communicating effective curricular instructional and assessment practices;
- Demonstrated success delivering inperson and virtual curriculum presentations workshops or related activities to a variety of stakeholders;
- Familiarity with best practices in education training and professional learning;
- Knowledge understanding and commitment to Diversity Equity and Inclusion practices in educational settings;
- Ability to selfteach and selfdirect;
- Excellent communication writing public speaking problem solving and human relations skills;
- Strong leadership management and organizational skills that include successful experience in collaborating with colleagues;
- Philosophical compatibility with the Districts Strategic Plan the Districts DEI Plan and the Districts program goals and initiatives.

The successful candidate can expect the following responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction the Successful Candidate will work withthe Director to:
- Support district and buildingbased efforts to build teacher capacity and their understanding of instructional practices designed to improve student learning;
- Coordinate the planning and implementation of the Districts professional learning program;
- Develop and facilitate professional learning opportunities at the school and District levels aligned with the Districts Strategic Plan; Diversity Equity and Inclusion Plan (DEI); Professional Learning Plan; and program/curricular goals;
- Assist school and district faculty in implementing action plans aligned to the Districts Strategic Plan the Districts DEI Plan and the Districts program/curricular goals along with the reporting of progress towards goals of the various plans;
- Serve as the Districts DEI Coordinator;
- Maintain the Districts professional learning records and CTLE hours;
- Work with the Instruction and Exceptional Education and Student Services Departments and building leaders to develop and implement plans for staff development days conference days and time allocated for professional development;
- Plan and administer the Districts Teacher Mentoring and Induction Program;
- Assist schools and departments in designing scheduling and delivering professional learning opportunities;
- Assist with the development of the annual Professional Learning Plan;
- Facilitate the creation of contracts with outside professional learning providers;
- Contribute to and support a Districtwide effort to further develop a reflective learning community that engages in researchbased highyield instructional practices;
- Serve as a resource to faculty and staff who support students;
- Build the capacity of identified stakeholders;
- Participate in personal professional learning;
- Attend required meetings and trainings;
- Collaborate with building and district administration;
- Prepare presentations reports or other materials for the Board of Education as requested by the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction.
Reports to and performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as directed by the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction.
