The 5th Judicial Districts Polk County Clerk of Court has an opening for a Judicial Specialist 2 in the Civil Division. Under the direct supervision of the Clerk of Court candidates should have the desire to learn the complexities of our court case processing system using our statewide Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
The starting salary for new State of Iowa Judicial employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range. The starting pay for this position is $18.59 per hour / $1487.20 biweekly based on an 80 hour pay period.
Hours: Monday Friday 8:00A 4:30P

This is a nonmerit positionwith the Iowa Judicial Branch. Candidates must follow the instructions in the To Apply section.
Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services Human Resources EnterpriseMinimum Qualification Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school (or High School Equivalency) and two 2 years of successful completion of accredited post high school education in business paralegal computer legal assistant or related program.
- Two 2 years of professional office experience in business court or legal work or a related area with one 1 year of the experience involving customer service. At the discretion of the appointing authority additional years of experience may be substituted for the required post high school education.
Or the successful completion of additional years of education (i.e. Bachelors Degree) may be substituted for years of experience on the basis that successful completion of thirty 30 semester hours or academic equivalent equals one year of experience. Education cannot be substituted for customer service experience.
