Job Description

Under the administrative direction of the Diagnostic Supervisor the Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures at a level of competence not requiring constant supervision to technical detail. Assumes responsibility for designated areas procedures and students as assigned.

Required Effective communication skills /ability to build rapport with others. Organizational skills to work in an efficient orderly fashion. Computer proficient and ability to quickly gain competency in various hospital software applications. Maintain current BLS certification.

Preferred Previous work experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred but not required. Will consider graduates of a formal accredited Radiologic Technology Training program with required temporary license.

Required Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technology Training program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRC/ERT).

Required Licensure with the Department of Public Health to practice Radiologic Technology in the state of Massachusetts required. Registration or registration eligible* with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required for Radiography. BLS certification required *Must be registered in Radiology within 12 months of hire.
