The Kingdom East School District seeks a licensed (or eligible) special educator assigned to the Lunenburg School. This is a 0.6 FTE parttime position starting in August 2025. This position provides direct instruction to students and consultation to classroom teachers serving learners with special needs. In addition to the consultative role this position provides leadership in the facilitation and development of effective individualized education programs (IEPs) and the coordination of related services designed to support student growth and achievement. The position requires applicants to possess a thorough understanding of special education law cognitive/social emotional development IEP development and classroom interventions within a tiered system of supportive instruction. The Lunenburg School is teamoriented and operates under a Professional Learning Communities (PLC) model. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also required.The Lunenburg School is a Kindergarten through fifth grade school and is part of the Kingdom East School District. It is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. KESD operates seven preK8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students.
