Were looking for a Research Scientist specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) to join our growing team. In this role you will work on advancing the science of NLP and ML to build domainspecific realworld AI solutions. You will have the opportunity to leverage the massive amounts of data generated by our products to ask fundamental research questions while deploying AI features into realworld applications.
What youll do
- Handson Research: Be deeply involved in handson technical work in any and all aspects of research projects from early exploration to working prototypes to achieve successful realworld applications.
- Research Leadership: Identify promising applications of machine learning relevant to ASAPPs core mission formulate and advocate for research programs in those areas and take ownership of driving impactful research initiatives.
- Collaboration & Advocacy: Work with crossfunctional teams to socialize your research findings advocate for their application and guide the productization of those findings to improve customer experience solutions.
- Documentation & Publication: Document significant experimental results contribute to publishing peerreviewed papers and participate in patenting innovations.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior researchers helping them develop their skills in independent research and the communication of their findings.
What youll need
- Background: Expertise in NLP and machine learning research with a focus on realworld applications.
- Education: PhD in a relevant field (such as Computer Science Electrical Engineering Linguistics etc. along with significant experience in research.
- Technical Expertise: Strong experience in NLP and machine learning including practical knowledge of algorithm design model development and experimental evaluation.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Experience in coaching and guiding junior researchers or research engineers.
- Handson Contribution: As an individual contributor youll be expected to lead experiments perform handson research and drive the of innovative projects.
- Enthusiasm: A passion for continued learning and deepening expertise in machine learning and AI with a strong desire to apply research in impactful ways.

The pay range for this role is $annually
For Sales positions: this role is eligible to earn commissions and eligible to participate in ASAPPs equity plan.
For NonSales positions: this role is eligible to participate in ASAPPs equity plan.
The actual salary may be different depending upon nondiscriminatory factors such as qualifications experience and other factors permitted by law. The range listed is just one component of ASAPPs total compensation package; other rewards may include short and longterm incentives including the benefits listed above. #LICM1 #LIRemote
