Under the direction of the Supervisor/Release of Information Health Information Services Department this position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in identifying and developing solutions for ROI systems process and procedural problems within the ROI Unit. This position oversees all routine day to day operations including work flow and coordination of daily activity evaluation of systems/procedures coordinating responses to inquiries trouble shooting problems and developing solutions. In addition the Team Lead processes written requests for medical information to patients or authorized parties in accordance with HIPAA General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (MGL) Department of Public Health (DPH) and the policies of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Ensures timely response to said requests and maintains the confidentiality and integrity of all information.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma minimum. Associates Degree preferred.
Knowledge of medical record release of information and medical terminology at a level generally acquired during two years of experience is required.
