Job Description
- Using specialized equipment and techniques.
- Clean and refurbish building exteriors carpets chimneys industrial equipment ventilation systems windows and other surfaces.
- All surfaces including bathrooms common kitchens desks and conference rooms must be cleaned and disinfected.
- Use cleaning machines to clean carpets rugs and upholstered furniture on the premises of customers or in carpet and upholstery cleaning businesses.
- Hand tools and industrial vacuum cleaners can be used to remove soot and creosote from chimneys and fireplaces.
- Hand tools and industrial vacuum cleaners are used to clean the ducts vents and filters of furnaces in homes and commercial buildings.
- Sandblasting pressurized steam or hydro blasting equipment can be used to clean the exteriors of buildings tanks chimneys and industrial equipment.
- Interior and exterior windows as well as other glass surfaces in lowrise and highrise buildings should be washed and cleaned.
- Clean the inside and outside of cars buses streetcars railway cars and subway cars.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven experience in a comparable role.
- Capable of using a wide range of cleaning products and equipment.
- Capable of standing for long periods of time.
- Outstanding organizational abilities.
- Capable of completing tasks on time with little supervision.
