Job Summary:
This position performs duties in supervising the activities of juveniles in a shelter facility. This position is responsible for maintaining order discipline safety and protection of the emotional and physical well being of juvenile clients. This position provides group and individual supervision of juveniles and provides other support services necessary for specific programs. This is an entrylevel position.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the knowledge skills and abilities required will be considered. however the following is preferred:
While not part of initial applicant screening the finalist for this position may be required to pass acriminal history backgroundcheckas part of a contingent offer of employment. Conviction of a crime may not necessarily disqualify an individual from employment.
Employment is contingent upon a preemployment drug screen. Presence of nonprescribed including on drug screen results will result in disqualification pursuant to the Countys drug and alcohol policy. To determine if physically qualified to perform essential functions employment offer is conditional upon satisfactory results of a postoffer medical and hearing exam conducted at county expense.
SELECTION PROCESS:Screening of applicants based upon minimum qualifications listed above; oral panel interview; extensive background investigation; physical exam and chemical detection screen. Final review by the Juvenile Director or Designee.
