We are seeking a Horizontal Directional Drill Locator to join our team in Scottsdale AZ. In this role you will operate drilling equipment to complete assigned projects and complete drilling in both standard and highrisk areas; with live utilities.

The Role

  • Operates drilling equipment to complete assigned projects
  • Completes drilling in both standard and highrisk areas; with live utilities
  • Maintains a working knowledge of utility depths and placements
  • Ensures vehicles equipment and tools are properly maintained in good repair and secured in a safe manner
  • Reviews field designs communicating discrepancies to supervisor for change orders
  • Properly documents all work completed to include pothole and bore logs
  • Performs conduit splicing vault/pedestal placement and fiber/coax placement as needed
  • Completes general restoration and cleanup
  • Completes all projects with safety as the #1 priority ensuring compliance with internal safety standards and all governmental orders
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 3 years of directional drilling experience required
  • Ability to travel daily ability to work outside of business hours when needed overtime holidays evenings weekends etc. in all seasons
  • Excellent customer service time management problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
  • High level of energy motivation and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask shifting from one task to another without interruption
  • Ability to work with a noise level from moderate to loud
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs as needed
  • Ability to complete work outdoors in tight spaces or elevated by bending reaching twisting climbing in all weather conditions year round
  • Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains managing equipment safety equipment and tools
  • Must provide a valid governmentissued photo ID for verification; a drivers license is required if the role involves driving; Class A CDL required
  • Passing of all preemployment requirements (MVR Background Check Drug Screen)
