The Mission Solutions Business Area within the National Security Sector of Leidos is seeking a Solutions Architect to develop solutions that address rapidly emerging threats and customer needs in the Intelligence Community DoD and mission partner space capabilities arena with a focus on intelligent automation full spectrum cyber systems engineering AI/MLdriven analytics modeling and simulations and secure supply chain logistics solutions.

Leidos has an immediate opening for a Solution Architect to join our Mission Solutions team in Chantilly VA.
In this role you will help customers solve their more demanding challenges via emerging technologies and technical capabilities. As a Solution Architect you will work with business development and other subject matter experts to develop optimal and differentiated Leidos solutions to be delivered on programs in proposals or on research and development projects. In addition to developing solutions you will help prospective customers and partners understand the value and benefits of the Leidos technical solution explain technical features and transformation strategies engage in proof of concepts and troubleshoot potential problems.
The position will report to the CTO for the Mission Solutions Business Area.
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation and modernization across multiple domains including cybersecurity enterprise architecture digital engineering system engineering and data science.
As part of a creative forwardthinking team you will help shape technical solutions related to IT automation AI/ML Cyber Ubiquitous Technology data intelligence cyber resiliency and other exquisite technologies and drive insertions of technology into projects/proposals
Leverage Technical expertise to help drive technology innovation into proposed solutions R&D projects and into customer mission space.
Communicate and collaborate with other SMEs across technical domains to drive differentiation and innovation into a capture
Work with the program teams Business Area leadership and CTO organization to identify technology and solution roadmaps to improve mission enterprise capabilities and broaden Leidos contributions in technical leadership resulting in increased contract growth and improved customer satisfaction.
Partner with the Business Development team to support new business strategies including the development of technical solutions basis of estimates white papers industry relationships and responses to RFIs and RFPs
Strengthen existing programs with application of technology and/or innovation by working with peer Operations teams Group CTOs and other Leidos Groups and by leveraging known technology and solutions on current programs and new business
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree with 8 years of experience of relevant experience in computer science engineering data science or other STEM discipline. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered.
Experience as a technical engineer on government contracts or related work.
Awareness of leading technology capability providers that enhance our technical solutions
Experience as a solution architect and/or technical volume lead on captures and proposals
Experience articulating complex technical concepts to customers business development program delivery technical teams and executives both orally and in writing
US citizen with an active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Technical experience working with technologies in Machine Learning (ML) Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Prior experience supporting technical whitepapers proposals or technical presentations
Ability to conduct technical research into new technologies evidence gathering to help shape solutions.
Experience having worked successful partnerships with suppliers on proposals
