Summary
Fantastic NICUPer Diem Opportunitiesfor Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner
We seek an experienced per diem Pediatric PA or NP to join a group of seasoned PAs with Alliance Medical Group at Waterbury Hospital working in the Special Care Nursery and Newborn Nursery. Coverage is 24/7 365 days per year. Primary responsibilities will be:
- Attending high risk deliveries
- Admitting infants to SCN nursery and participating in management of them through daily rounds procedures.
- Coverage of well babies in Well Baby Nursery for admissions and daily notes
- Attendance at Pediatric Codes and traumas in the ED
Our nursery is managed by neonatology attendings from the Yale Medical Group who are stationed at Waterbury Hospital.
A candidate should be comfortable with the following procedures:
- Intubation
- Umbilical artery and vein catheterization
- IV placement
- Lumbar punctures
- Urinary catheterization
