Automation QA Engineer Job Description
Job Location: ITPL Whitefield Bangalore

Job Summary:
L&W Digital are looking for a test engineer who will be responsible for testing of our eInstants and slot games. This is a hands on testing role within the Pune games studio.
Working as part of a game squad the test engineer will work closely with the GDM engineer client engineer mathematician and producer to ensure high quality software that adhere to the established SG Digital standards.
Good communications skills are a must as forging close relationships with team members and other internal teams will be critical in ensuring successful and delivery of games.
This role would ideally suit someone with previous experience working in a games studio which has a continuous delivery environment.
Key Tasks
Ensure that games tested and delivered are of the highest quality and meet SG Digital quality standards.
Work with product owners on defining acceptance criteria and ensuring that these are accurately and efficiently tested for
Work with QA lead to ensure new development work is being considered in regression testing and risks are considered and communicated
Preparation and of test plans and test scripts
Raise and monitor defects and ensure they are retested in a timely manner
Create test reports that are both comprehensive and clear
Provide estimates and feedback to the QA Lead and Project Manager for project scheduling purposes.
Maintain metrics relating to test coverage and defects seek paths to increase the former and decrease the latter
Investigate techniques such as CI TDD/BDD automated testin Communicate clearly to all stakeholders in a timely manner
Reporting Lines:
Reports to: QA Lead.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree or equivalent required
2years to 4 years of QA experience
Strong experience in Manual and Automation testing
Exposure in Selenium and Java
Experience in designing test scenarios and test cases
Experience using any Test Case Management Tools such as TestRail HP ALM Zephyr etc.
Experience in managing defects in a structured way using tools such as JIRA
Experience of working in different stages of STLC functional integration regression testing
Ability to determine and dictate relevant test types methods and approaches (e.g. identify where a tool could help with testing; identify when to test boundary conditions)
Excellent knowledge of test methodologies and development approaches such as Kanban/Waterfall/Agile
Experience of working in a continuous delivery model
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent working knowledge of STLC test methodologies and development approaches such as Agile Kanban and Waterfall.
Knowledge of test management tools like JIRA Test Rail etc.
Knowledge of tools like Postman and Fiddler required.
ISEB/ISTQB Foundation level is a plus.
Experience of testing online gaming application would be an added advantage
Python scripting is a huge plus.
