POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Psychology Department at Montclair State University is pleased to invite applications for a fulltime 12month nontenure track Assistant Teaching Professor position in Clinical Psychology to begin in September 2025. We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative colleague to join our American Psychological Association (APA)accredited PhD Program in Clinical Psychology as Associate Director of Clinical Training (Associate DCT). The Associate DCT coordinates various program operations including recruitment and admissions clinical placements comprehensive exams student evaluations and our brown bag series. This position also includes teaching two graduate courses per semester and one in the summer. The PhD Program in Clinical Psychology is wellsupported by an engaged doctoral faculty that take pride in its diverse student body. The Associate DCT works closely with and is supervised by the Director of Clinical Training (DCT) who leads the doctoral faculty and oversees program accreditation curriculum policies and procedures funding and student enrollment progress and remediation. The position is a twoyear twelvemonthnontenure trackappointment with eligibility for reappointment based on established NTTP procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology or related field. Applicants must have graduated from an APAaccredited program and completed an APAaccredited internship. Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a psychologist in New Jersey. Strong administrative and teaching skills are essential.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) is Montclair States largest college with over 5000 undergraduate masters and doctoral students. CHSS facilitates traditional and interdisciplinary learning and is the professional home of many outstanding scholars and instructors across numerous disciplines all of whom lend to CHSSs mission to furnish academically rigorous and relevant programs of study that contribute to the development of an informed and engaged civil society. CHSSs programs develop in students the abilities to discover create evaluate apply and share knowledge so that they will be able to think critically act ethically and be informed citizenparticipants prepared to assume leadership roles in their communities. CHSS also aims to be responsive to the needs of society including via its championing of useinspired research collaboratively undertaken by faculty and students and graduate programs that train students to apply knowledge in constructive inspiring and practical ways that benefit our local and broader communities.
The Psychology Departmentorganized into the three broad areas of clinical psychology industrial/organizational (I/O) psychology and psychological scienceserves a large and diverse constituency of students and is comprised of a vibrant group of 35 fulltime faculty including research faculty teaching faculty and support staff. The Department is home to over 1500 undergraduates many of whom seek to continue at Montclair in our graduate programs. In addition to our clinical PhD program the Psychology Department offers a PhD program in I/O psychology as well as several masters and certification programs including a masters program in clinical psychology. Faculty in the Department are highly successful in securing extramural funding providing support for students and robust research activities. In a period of considerable growth the Department has hired many dynamic faculty on both teaching and research tracks who enjoy collaboration and are committed to student success having chosen the Department for its record of supporting curricular innovation in response to disciplinary developments and the needs and interests of our students. The faculty members have diverse backgrounds and we experience success in helping new faculty acclimate to the Department and University. The core faculty of the PhD Program in Clinical Psychology include senior midcareer and junior faculty who are equally committed to their students and the program.

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience
