Job Description
An Outstanding Mixed school in Enfield is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher for a permanent fulltime position commencing in September. The successful Art Teacher will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to explore their artistic talents and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Art Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 covering a variety of artistic disciplines.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE Art and Design examinations fostering their creative and technical skills.
- Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive studio environment where students feel encouraged to experiment and express themselves artistically.
- Assess and monitor student progress in art providing thoughtful and constructive feedback as an Art Teacher.
- Contribute to the development of the art curriculum and the creation of enriching learning experiences.
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular art clubs and schoolwide creative projects.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Art and Design.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Art at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4.
- A strong and comprehensive knowledge of diverse art forms techniques and historical contexts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of inspiring creativity as an Art Teacher.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the varied learning needs and artistic abilities of students.
- A commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the arts department.
