A progressive Independent School in Barnet is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher for a permanent fulltime position starting in September. The ideal History Teacher will inspire students in Key Stages 3 and 4 with the stories and significance of the past.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective History Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students for GCSE History examinations.
- Develop students understanding of historical concepts periods and interpretations.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing timely and constructive feedback as a History Teacher.
- Contribute to the development of the history curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Foster a curiosity about the past and its relevance to the present.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History.
- Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4.
- Strong and comprehensive knowledge of historical periods and concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities in History.
