Job Description
Primary Objectives
- The MES Specialist will be responsible for managing implementing and supporting Manufacturing Systems (MES) across our production operations. The MES Specialist will work closely with the IT department and production teams to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. This role will involve troubleshooting optimizing and ensuring the efficiency of our MES software and hardware ensuring the companys production data is accurate timely and reliable.
Essential Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed)
- Configure install and deploy MES software for production environments.
- Support and maintain MES applications and related systems.
- Manage the integration of MES with other business systems (ERP SCADA etc..
- Analyze and optimize MES performance to improve production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MES issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure data accuracy between the MES and other integrated systems.
- Provide training to endusers (operators supervisors etc. on MES functionality.
- Develop and maintain user manuals guides and system documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions.
- Work with crossfunctional teams to enhance manufacturing processes using MES.
- Generate reports related to production performance downtime and other KPIs.
- Assist in data analysis to support decisionmaking for process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to MES.
- Perform system audits and ensure proper maintenance of MES hardware and software.
Qualifications :
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with MES software in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with MES solutions like FunnelCloud Siemens Rockwell and others.
- Experience with ERP related systems (CMS).
- Proficiency in MES configuration troubleshooting and optimization.
- Understanding of data analysis reporting tools and database management (SQL etc..
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Project management skills are a plus.
