Project Manager in Training-Homebuilding - Future Opportunities

David Weekley Homes DallasFt. Worth team is expanding our operational leadership team. Our Project Managers lead and develop Construction Sales and Warranty Team Members in their new home communities along with taking ownership of their projects profit and loss. 

We believe in setting people up to be successful so there will be a beneficial training and mentoring period. The Project Manager in Training will go through our Sales Construction and Technical training to become wellacquainted with our operations.

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversees the management and development of all team members within their communities. This includes sales construction and warranty
• Makes sure that sales and closing objectives are met
• Possesses an unwavering commitment to Customer Satisfaction
• Develops an Annual Operating Plan for their project maximizing profitability assuring that margins and goals are met
• Oversees and controls expenditures
• Assures that the quality of homes in their area meets company standards
• Maintains a high level of visibility in the home building business actively participating in promoting their communities
• Assists in resolving any issues that arise in their projects
• Works effectively with developers our land department government agencies and Architectural Review Boards

Qualifications :

Were looking for enthusiastic leaders who demonstrate integrity and professionalism with a passion for developing their Team Members and delighting customers.

The ideal candidate should possess these characteristics:

• Knowledge of newhome construction sales and operations
• A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Construction Engineering Finance Business or Real Estate is preferred
• Considerable initiative and drive. Selfstarter/motivated
• Able to balance multiple and competing priorities simultaneously
• Driven to push for results
• Problemsolving skills are a must
• Able to see the Big Picture while maintaining focus on the daytoday details that result in a successfully developed community
• Previous experience with budgeting general operations and legal documents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to listen
• Professional demeanor
• Positive attitude
• Team player
• Detail Oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Resourceful and innovative
• Curiosity and openmindedness
• MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE IF NECESSARY
