Overview
We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Architect to design implement and optimize enterpriselevel solutions using Jira and Jira Service Management (JSM) within the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep expertise in Atlassian tools workflow automation and process optimization. Additional experience with ServiceNow migrations to Atlassian platforms is required and proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate is a strong plus. This role will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align business needs with technical solutions driving efficiency and scalability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Atlassian Solution Design & Implementation:
- Architect configure and customize Jira and Jira Service Management to support project management IT service management (ITSM) and business workflows.
- Design and implement workflows permissions dashboards and automation rules tailored to organizational requirements.
- Integrate Atlassian tools with other enterprise systems (e.g. Confluence Bitbucket thirdparty apps) to streamline processes
- ServiceNow Migration Expertise:
- Leverage experience with ServiceNow migrations to transition workflows data and processes to Jira Service Management effectively.
- Ensure smooth migration from ServiceNow to Atlassian platforms preserving ITSM and business process integrity.
- Process Optimization:
- Analyze existing workflows and systems to identify areas for improvement scalability and efficiency.
- Provide recommendations and implement best practices for Agile DevOps and ITSM frameworks.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with business units IT teams and leadership to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Train endusers and administrators on Atlassian tools and related processes.
- Automation & Innovation:
- Utilize Atlassian APIs and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance functionality.
- (If applicable) Develop and integrate lowcode solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate to extend automation capabilities.
- Maintenance & Support:
- Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability of Atlassian Cloud environments.
- Manage upgrades patches and plugin ecosystems to maintain compatibility and security.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of handson experience with Jira and Jira Service Management administration and architecture.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex workflows custom fields and automation within Atlassian tools.
- 2 years of experience with ServiceNow migrations including transitioning workflows and ITSM processes to Atlassian platforms.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies ITIL frameworks and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in REST APIs for Atlassian integrations.
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate for building and automating business applications.
- Atlassian certifications (e.g. ACP100 ACP600 or similar).
- Familiarity with cloudbased Atlassian deployments (Atlassian Cloud) and migration strategies.
- Knowledge of additional tools such as Confluence Bitbucket and GIT tools.
- Experience with migrations from ServiceNow to Jira Service Management is a strong plus.
- Experience with lowcode/nocode platforms beyond Power Apps.
