Job Description

Special Education Teacher Resource Room

Were on a mission to connect passionate educators with impactful roles in schools across the country and we re hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in a resource room setting.

About the Job:

As a Special Education Teacher you ll create and deliver individualized learning experiences for students with diverse learning emotional and developmental needs. Youll manage IEPs design inclusive instruction and adapt curriculum to help every student reach their full potential.

You ll build a structured supportive classroom that fosters academic growth and socialemotional development. Collaboration is central to this role you ll partner with general education teachers specialists and families to ensure a connected studentcentered support system.

What You ll Do:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Monitor student progress and use data to adjust instruction as needed.
Help students build confidence social skills and lifelong learning habits.
Adapt teaching strategies to support a wide range of learning styles and abilities
Create a positive inclusive classroom culture that supports growth and independence.
Collaborate with educators service providers and families to deliver wraparound support.

Requirements

Background working in an educational setting.
Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution (Master s preferred).
Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or a related role.
Valid Illinois PEL with an LBS1 (Special Education) endorsement (no other certifications accepted).
