Job Description
Thompson Rivers University School of Nursing has the following sessional faculty positions available in the Health Care Assistant (HCA) program from January May 2025:
HEAL1000: Lifestyle & Choices
HEAL1010: Concepts for Practice
HEAL1050: Interpersonal Communications
HEAL1100: Intro to Practice
HEAL1200: Caring for Individuals Experiencing Common Health Challenges
The successful candidate(s) will teach theory and lab/practice courses with HCA program and will organize activities related to HCA including but not limited to attending meetings clinical agency liaison development of student clinical assignments and conducting evaluations.
Requirements
- Masters required; Masters in progress may be considered.
- Undergraduate degree must be in nursing.
- RN LPN BScN and RPN applicants with applicable experience are encouraged to apply. The nonqualified language would apply if successful.
- Practicing licence/membership with BCCNM required.
- Teaching experience at the program level preferred; and/or
- Minimum 2 years experience in Long Term Care in a nurse/client relationship.
