Description

Job Purpose:
The Group Home Program Manager is responsible for the growth expansion and programming of residential care homes by leading teams to implement systems processes and practices that align with Rawhides mission vision values goals and regulatory compliance. This role ensures youth safety and security while creating bestinclass youth experiences and outcomes. Additionally the manager oversees personnel to foster a positive employee experience tracks financial and performance quality improvement objectives and supervises the Night Staff Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages and develops Group Home and Overnight department staff.
  • Implements policies programs and practices in accordance with the Rawhide mission and state licensing requirements.
  • Serves as agency designee for reasonable and prudent parenting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides Services to Youth
    • Systematically delivers chronological and developmental ageappropriate care that prepares youth for optimal wellness across social emotional physical spiritual intellectual occupational and environmental dimensions.
    • Activates and monitors intervention and treatment plans within living units.
    • Collaborates with intervention and treatment teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
    • Maintains 24/7 accountability for crisis response through a manageroncall rotation.
  • Provides Leadership
    • Motivates and leads Group Home unit and night staff personnel.
    • Cultivates a positive employee experience as evidenced by employee satisfaction scores.
    • Conducts routine rounds in living units including evenings and weekends to assess operations and staff engagement.
    • Provides direct unit coverage when shortstaffed.
    • Partners with Human Resources for recruitment hiring and retention.
    • Oversees onboarding training and performance evaluations for new and existing staff.
    • Advocates for Group Home participation in organizational events.
    • Manages staffing and scheduling processes across Group Home units.
  • Fosters Intra and InterDepartmental Communication
    • Conducts living unit rounds oneonone meetings and team meetings.
    • Proactively schedules meetings sets agendas and maintains meeting records.
    • Communicates performance quality improvement (PQI) initiatives through dashboards reports and project management tools.
  • Achieves Financial Objectives
    • Collaborates with Finance and leadership to develop and manage the annual operating budget.
    • Monitors revenue and expenses providing variance reports and financial recommendations.
    • Oversees census targets staffing efficiency and budget adherence.
    • Manages payroll and scheduling to align with financial goals.
  • Supports Quality and Risk Compliance
    • Develops and implements systems policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and Council on Accreditation (COA) standards.
    • Maintains readiness for audits and surveys.
    • Reviews and addresses living unit incidents to improve safety and prevent recurrence.
    • Oversees case contacts improvement plans and state reporting to ensure timely responses.
  • Maintains Professional and Technical Knowledge
    • Attends educational workshops and training sessions.
    • Reviews professional publications and networks within the field.
    • Maintains professional licensure and certifications.
  • Maintains Staff Job Results
    • Trains and coaches support staff.
    • Establishes staff goals monitors progress and provides ongoing feedback.
    • Conducts performance appraisals.
  • Protects the Credibility of the Rawhide Mission
    • Complies with the Rawhide standard of conduct.
    • Leads by example in alignment with Rawhides values and beliefs.
  • Contributes to Team Effort
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Social Work Business Administration Health Care Administration Nonprofit Management or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience working with atrisk youth.
  • 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint Excel Word).
  • Effective communicator with strong leadership skills.
  • Critical systems thinking and problemsolving abilities.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require occasional lifting standing and travel as needed for jobrelated activities.
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift 50 lbs. engage in youth activities and stand or sit for prolonged periods.
