Job Description
The Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and assembling steel components according to project
specifications and requirements. This role requires expertise in steel fabrication techniques a
strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and project specifications to understand
fabrication requirements.
Select appropriate materials tools and equipment necessary for fabrication.
Cut shape and weld metal components using various fabrication techniques such as
cutting torches plasma cutters and welding machines.
Utilize fabrication machinery and tools including shears brakes rollers and drills to shape
and form steel materials.
Ensure accuracy and precision during the fabrication process to meet project specifications
and quality standards.
Conduct quality control checks to verify that fabricated components meet required
tolerances and specifications.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure the timely completion of assigned projects.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and consumables essential for
fabrication.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe
working environment.
Communicate and coordinate with supervisors and team members regarding project
progress challenges and potential solutions.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity within
the fabrication department.
