Part Time
Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Psychology Extern provides psychological evaluations for patients with significant medical concerns on an inpatient and outpatient setting. They provide evidenced based psychotherapy for patients as needed.
Essential Job Functions
Completes presurgical bariatric evaluations on an outpatient basis.
Provides brief psychological treatment for weight management patients.
Cofacilitates presurgical support groups for bariatric patient prior to surgery.
Completes bedside evaluations in acute rehab setting.
Provides evidencedbased psychological services in acute rehab setting.
Administers scores and interprets psychological testing measures.
Provides education groups in acute rehab and outpatient rehab settings.
