Job Description

Maserati / Alfa Romero is looking for a Certified Technician for our Austin TX location. Technicians with Chrysler / Dodge experience are encouraged to apply as Alfa Romeo vehicles are equipped with Mopar parts and have similar systems and repair processes.


Job Summary:

A Certified Technician fixes inspects and maintains Alfa Romeo and Maserati vehicles. Main duties include using tools to identify and diagnose potential issues with a customers vehicle explain problems with the vehicle to the customer and perform maintenance on the vehicles to fix or prevent them from future breakdowns or issues.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Repair brake and steering systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
  • Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed.
  • Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling.
  • Perform emissions inspections safety checks and similar stateregulated vehicle examinations.
  • Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
  • Must read interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean safe working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of automotive systems.
  • Ability to use the diagnostic equipment and tools including power tools.
  • Willingness to learn with handson training.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Ability to provide friendly customer service.


Education and Experience:

  • Automotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training preferred.
  • Working knowledge of state inspection guidelines particularly those concerning emissions and safety is advantageous.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • ASE certifications required.


Physical Requirements:

  • May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
  • Good handeye coordination.
  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Frequent reaching bending squatting pulling and lifting.
