JOB OVERVIEW:
The PA Nursing Workforce Coalition (PANWC) Assistant Director will be responsible leading program development and strategy for the PANWC the Pennsylvania Nurse Residency Collaborative the Nurse Diversity Council and other program partnerships between the PANWC and the National NurseLed Care Consortium (NNCC). This individual will work with the Director of the PANWC and National NurseLed Care Consortium staff to manage financial and governing activities for the PANWC the PANWC Advisory Board and its programs. Such tasks will include: creating and tracking budgets for the PANWCs programs; building contracts; managing grants and reporting; and soliciting contributions and sponsorships for events and conferences.
This individual will work with the Director of the PANWC (formerly PAAC) and other NNCC staff to design goals and timelines for the PANWC. They will lead all inperson and online event planning. They will work with internal and external stakeholders to promote initiatives grow existing relationships and form new partnerships. This individual will provide supervision to the PANWC (formerly PAAC) Manager(s) Coordinator(s) as well as all parttime staff and consultants for the PANWC. In addition this individual will oversee PANWC councils and workgroups to meet project directives with support from the PANWC Manager(s). This individual will review all written and online communications and contribute to proposals and reports. Occasional travel may be required. This position will be fulltime. The position reports to the Director of the PANWC.
PROGRAMMATIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design program development and strategy according to PANWC strategic plan and stakeholder feedback
Lead the tracking and evaluation of project outcomes
Develop sustainability plans and pursue funding opportunities to maintain and expand programs
Oversee inperson and virtual event planning including all webinars and conferences
Supervise PANWC Manager(s) consultants and parttime staff for the PANWC
Review all online and written communications with internal and external stakeholders including email marketing social media accounts and website content
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to grow existing collaborations and form new partnerships
Write proposals annual reports letters and other materials as necessary
Manage governing activities for the PANWC the PANWC Advisory Board and its programs
Present regular program updates to NNCC and PHMC colleagues and showcase opportunities for collaboration
Represent PANWC at conferences and meetings
Contribute to the development of NNCC infrastructure and operations
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead financial growth plans for the PANWC and its programs with support from the PANWC Director
Create and track budgets and financial reports for the PANWC and its programs
Build and execute contracts with partners
Manage grants and their reporting requirements
Solicit contributions for events and conferences
SKILLS:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized detailoriented and selfmotivated
Project management experience required
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
Grant writing experience required
Financial management experience preferred
Ability to quickly synthesize complex issues into professional written and verbal communications
Strong software skills in the following programs: Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Acrobat SurveyMonkey MailChimp and demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly
Demonstrated competency in database management
Ability to travel within the United States
EXPERIENCE:
At least five years of professional work experience at least two years working with the Pennsylvania Action Coalition or Campaign for Action. Professional experience with social media outlets including Twitter Facebook and LinkedIn. Experience with Smartsheet Salesforce Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Masters degree required.
