The Virginia Department of Social Services Division of Benefit Programs is currently seeking a Program Consultant Sr. This position will be responsible for recommending gathering and preparing policy and procedures for the operation of Medical Assistance programs while ensuring that they align with federal and state law and regulations. Incumbent provides policy guidance training and support to the Regional and the Local Department of Social Services (LDSS) staff to ensure accurate and timely eligibility determinations for Medical Assistance. Incumbent will also provide information regarding Medical Assistance issues to individuals public agencies private groups/organizations and other connected partners and stakeholders. Serve as lead on committees work projects special initiatives and training efforts etc. Incumbent will also assist in the development of tools (guidance documents forms training materials etc. needed to efficiently and accurately administer Medical Assistance programs in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Provide direct support to State partners Regional and Local Medical Assistance staff.
