Required Qualifications
A completed Ph.D. or Ed.D. in communication disorders or closely related area (e.g. Neurophysiology Literacy Health Professions). ABD candidates will be considered but doctorate must be completed before the second year of appointment. Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguagePathology Eligibility for unrestricted licensure as a speechlanguage pathologist in Missouri Evidence and/or demonstrated potential for teaching effectiveness in Communication Disorders Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; and Evidence of commitment to the liberal arts and sciences
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to teach a variety of courses within the department Evidence of or demonstrated potential for mentoring students in transformative learning experiences such as undergraduate and graduate research servicelearning study abroad and clinical practicum; Evidence and/or demonstrated potential for developing critical thinking and problem solving skills in undergraduate and graduate students
