Your role

A resultsdriven Account Manager with a strong customer focus to drive new business growth across our global platform. This role is key to expanding relationships with existing HQ customers while identifying and pursuing new opportunities through local partners and prospects. Experience with large global enterprise accounts and coordinating complex international sales processes is essential. Operating autonomously yet collaboratively across crossfunctional teams you will lead efforts to acquire new logos and generate net new bookings in alignment with our local sales strategy. The role requires strong commercial acumen including negotiating within strategic boundaries and engaging with stakeholders at all levels up to the Csuite.

  • Develop and implement direct sales strategy and annual plans for prospective and existing accounts.
  • Initiate create and execute the new business sales strategy and annual plans aimed at prospective and existing accounts within the boundaries set by the local Sales & Marketing plan and Digital Realtys overall business segment and commercial strategies.
  • Lead the prospective/new customer acquisition process from lead to close.
  • Proactively create and build relationships with decision makers up to Csuite level at prospective and existing customers directly or through leads generated by local Marketing Business Development or partner channels.
  • Actively create business opportunities. Prepare for and attend appropriate local industry events to book meetings build relationships and increase awareness of Digital Realtys value proposition.
  • Identify qualify pursue (design and propose) negotiate and profitably close net new business. In close collaboration with local Management and Operations team as well as Marketing & Strategy and Legal.
  • Conduct commercial and customer contract negotiations within own delegated authority and predefined guidelines.

What youll need

  • Educated to Bachelor/Master level in commercial area or similar industry specific education.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an Enterprise/Global selling position preferable in IT Services/data
  • center/telco/network environment.
  • Broad business network and contact data base.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft office applications.
  • Good teamworking skills.
  • Fluent in English
